What is the difference between restumping, releveling and underpinning?
Restumping refers to the process of replacing old timber stumps to the new concrete stumps. Releveling also known as “Jack and Pack” is packing on top of existing concrete stumps to level the house. Underpinning involves digging under an existing strip footing or concrete slab to determine the damage and lay new foundation to support brickwork.
How do I know my home needs restumping, and how much does it cost?
Your home is in need of restumping if it has cracked plaster, sticky doors, squeaky or uneven floors. Costs vary depending on the amount of stumps, access and other factors. Please contact us for an obligation FREE quote.
How long does restumping take do I need to move from my home?
If your property needs to be restumped and it is left as is, then much damage could occur. A property without strong foundations may be dangerous.
Do I need council permission to restump or underpin my property?
In most cases a council permit is required before work commences Arkle and Co secures all council permits on your behalf before commencement of work
Is there any Guarantee?
